“Dr.STONE” is a TV anime set thousands of years after a mysterious phenomenon suddenly occurs, and humanity instantly turns to stone. Senku, a young scientist with a superhuman brain, awakens and uses his genius scientific powers to challenge the Stone World, where civilization has been destroyed. The original manga, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from issue 14 of 2017 to issue 14 of 2022 and won second place in the comics category of the “Next Manga Award 2018” and the “Shogakukan Manga Award” in the boys’ category.
The total number of copies of the comics published has exceeded 18 million. The first season of the TV anime began broadcasting in July 2019, and the second season began broadcasting in 2021. Then, a TV special will be broadcast in 2022, and the third season will be divided into two seasons in 2023.
