As the summer 2025 anime season comes to a close, information on new anime series set to start in the fall continues to be released. Some of these are spinoffs of popular anime, and fans are already excited.
“Ginpachi Sensei, Class 3-Z” Based on the popular manga “Gintama” by Hideaki Sorachi, the spinoff novel “Ginpachi Sensei, Class 3-Z” (original story by Hideaki Sorachi, written by Tomohito Osaki) was announced for an anime adaptation in 2023 and will finally air as part of the fall 2025 anime series. Set in the class of 3-Z at “Gintama High School,” this school comedy follows high school teacher Ginpachi Sakata (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita), as he engages in hilarious and tearful slapstick comedy with his eccentric students. Familiar students such as Shimura Shinpachi (voiced by Sakaguchi Daisuke) and Kagura (voiced by Kugimiya Rie) will appear, further adding to the excitement of the story.
The trailer, already available on YouTube, is packed with laughs, including Shinpachi’s sharp remarks and a scene where Kondo Isao (voiced by Chiba Susumu) is punched by Shimura Tae (voiced by Yukino Satsuki), and many fans are eagerly awaiting the broadcast. Meanwhile, serious developments are also expected, and the youthful atmosphere, which combines comedy and drama in a “Gintama” style, is sure to be a highlight. The anime “3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi Sensei” is scheduled to air every Monday from midnight on TV Tokyo affiliates starting October 6, 2025.
“Nohara Hiroshi’s Lunch Style” This fall, the official spin-off of the beloved and long-running manga “Crayon Shin-chan” (written by Yoshito Usui), “Nohara Hiroshi’s Lunch Style” (characters created by Yoshito Usui/art by Yoichi Tsukahara), will air as a new anime this fall. The series depicts Hiroshi, a salaryman with limited pocket money and time, as he focuses on his lunch, revealing a new side of Hiroshi and his daily life not seen in the main “Crayon Shin-chan” series.
The original manga has sold over 800,000 copies, and fans are eager to see the anime adaptation, which will not only show Hiroshi’s lunch habits and meals but also the usual “Crayon Shin-chan” humor. Additionally, the light-hearted flash animation, which seems to have jumped out of the manga, and the careful and warm performance by voice actor Morikawa Toshiyuki, who plays Hiroshi, are raising expectations among viewers. The anime “Nohara Hiroshi’s Lunch Style” is scheduled to air every Friday from 11:00 PM on BS Asahi starting October 3, 2025.
“Original! BanG Dream!” “Original! BanG Dream!”, a spin-off of Bushiroad’s hugely popular project “BanG Dream!”, which links characters and live performances, is scheduled for distribution as a mini-anime. Based on the first season of the TV anime that aired in 2017, this is a light-hearted comedy featuring the members of the girl band “Poppin’Party.”
While detailed information about the storyline has yet to be released, visuals of the characters, reimagined to 2:30, have been released, and many fans are curious to see what the story will be. The anime “Original! “BanG Dream!” will begin streaming on YouTube’s “BanG Dream Channel☆” every Thursday at 9:00 PM starting October 2, 2025, with 52 episodes planned for release over the course of a year.
