‘Given: To the Sea’ will be released on September 20th! The series is finally coming to an end. Official trailer and poster unveiled

Given is a youth band story based on a BL comic by Kizu Natsuki that began serialization in the 2013 Haru issue of Cheri+. It depicts the youth of the members of the rock band Given, starting with the meeting of Sato Mafuyu, who has an impressive singing voice, and Uenoyama Ritsuka, who has guitar skills beyond those of a high school student. It was broadcast as a TV anime in 2019 as the first BL comic anime adaptation of ” Noitamina,” the following year, in 2020, Given was released as a movie.

The first part of the two-part film series, “Given Hiiragi Mix,” will be released in January 2024. It won first place in Filmarks’ “First Day Satisfaction Ranking,” and the term “Okawari Given” appeared on social media, leading to a frenzy of fans with repeat viewers. The poster visual, which was unveiled for the second part of the two-part film series, “Given: To the Sea,” which will be the final installment of the series, depicts Mafuyu with a slightly lowered expression, and Rika, Haruki, and Akihiko standing as if waiting for Mafuyu. In the last scene of the first part, “Given Hiiragi Mix,” Mafuyu mutters, “Huh, how long have I not sung? How do I sing?”
Meanwhile, in the streets of Shibuya, advertisements for Hiiragi and Genjun of the band “Syh,” who have already made their major debut, and Ugetsu, who is active as a professional violinist, are displayed in large numbers, contrasting with the standing Mafuyu. What kind of future will Mafuyu, Rikka, Haruki, and Akihiko, who work together as “Given,” each head towards? The ending is to be noticed.

The trailer also shows Mafuyu’s anguish, feeling “left behind by the people around him,” and forgetting how to sing as if he rejects music. Rikka faces Mafuyu in his way – music – and completes “a certain song” left behind by Yuki. In addition, we can see Rikka, who usually plays guitar and does not sing, singing into the microphone and Ugetsu calling out to Mafuyu. What decision will Mafuyu make with the support of those around him? This is the final installment of the anime series.

Expectations are high for the touching conclusion that will be spun by the characters who have grown little by little while worrying. It has also been revealed that the theme song will be performed by Centimillimental, who debuted with the single “Kizuato,” which was the opening theme for the TV anime “Given” and has been a companion to the series.

The series will end with “Yugen,” a song that Centimillimental Atsushi has cherished. Regarding the use of the theme song, Centimillimental commented, “This song is like my life itself, which I have always played and cherished. I dedicate this song to Given, an essential story that has greatly changed my life.” In addition, seven new stills capturing the main characters who have supported the series were also released.

The bonus movie ticket card on sale from July 27th will come with a random Polaroid-style card drawn by the original author, Kizu Natsuki, one of three types, so fans should not miss this either. The second part of the two-part movie series, “Given: To the Sea,” will conclude the anime “Given” series, which will be released on September 20th.

‘Full comment below’ Centimillimental Nine years ago, when I fell in love with someone so much that my heart broke, I thought, “I don’t want you to forget.” Even if you are united, you will have to break up; even if you stay together, the end that comes someday will inevitably separate you. I realized that meeting meant parting ways, and I felt lonely. I thought about how to make this love last forever, the two of us, and wrote a song. It would be good if at least it remained in music. Since then, it’s a song I’ve been playing and connecting with my life ever since. “Yuigon” I dedicate this song to Given, an essential story that changed my life significantly.
