“Haikyu!!” is an anime based on the hugely popular manga by Haruichi Furudate, which has sold over 70 million copies. Set in the world of high school volleyball, the story follows the growth of Karasuno High School’s boys’ volleyball team members, including the main characters, Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama.
The series has been a massive hit since its first adaptation in 2014, with four seasons of TV anime and a compilation movie. The sequel, Haikyu !! The Movie Battle at the Dump was released in February 2024 and became a megahit, grossing over 20 billion yen worldwide.
The newly announced free marathon broadcast of the anime “Haikyu!!” will begin with a free marathon broadcast of the first season (episodes 1-13) on Tuesday, January 7, and Wednesday, January 8, 2025. It will then continue with a free marathon broadcast of all episodes of the first and second seasons of “Haikyu!!” every Tuesday and Wednesday for four weeks until Tuesday, January 28, and Wednesday, January 29.
In addition, the original animation dramas “Riev Kenzan!” and “VS “Failed Mark” will also be broadcast for free. All episodes will be available for free for one week after broadcast.
