Hanae Natsuki plays Nana’s son, Kensuke, in the animated film ‘Hallelujah.’

It was announced today that Natsuki Hanae will appear in the anime film “Housenka,” which is set to hit theaters on October 10. A screening with a stage greeting featuring Hanae, fellow actor Soma Saito, and director Mugi Kinoshita has also been announced.

“Housenka” is a collaboration between director Kinoshita and Kazuya Konomoto, who worked on the TV anime “Odd Taxi.” Hanae played the protagonist Odogawa in “Odd Taxi.” In this film, he plays Kensuke, Nana’s son who lives with Akutsu and is currently living with him. Hanae revealed that before filming, the director told him, “I want to convey the feeling that we’ve always spent time together, as if it were a matter of course, in our everyday conversations.” During filming, Hanae recalled that he had a lot of fun interacting with Yoshiko Miyazaki, who plays the current Nana.

The stage greeting featuring Hanae, Saito, and director Kinoshita will be held at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo on October 22. It will take place after the 7 pm screening. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, October 11, from midnight online at the theater on a first-come, first-served basis. Like Hanae, Saito also played the role of Tanaka in “Odd Taxi.”
