It has been announced that the TV anime “Invisible Man and Human Woman: The Two Who Will Become Husband and Wife,” based on Iwatobi Neko’s romantic comedy manga, will be broadcast in January 2026. Sugiyama Riho will play Urashiko Luna, a beast woman investigator at the Transparent Eye Detective Agency who has a big sister-like personality, Fukunishi Katsuya will play Onikira Daichi, a human man who appears gruff but is actually diligent, and it has also been announced that Abe Mao will perform the opening theme song. Ishihara Kaori will perform the ending theme song.

Sugiyama commented, “I had initially read the original work, so I am thrilled to be able to play Sharakuko! Sharakuko is an honest, strong-willed, and remarkable woman, but as you get to know her, you can see that she has a slightly absent-minded side and a girlish side that has many aspirations. I have a lot in common with Sharakuko, so I let myself be myself when I played her. I would be happy to expand on this work, which is full of outstanding personalities, through the anime, so I hope you will all enjoy the broadcast! Thank you very much!”

Fukunishi said, “In the world of this work, everyone enjoys their own lives, cares for each other, and enjoys each day as they are. Onigira, who lives there, is a little clumsy but an extremely loving person. Those around him also treat him with love. I love Onigira! As someone who loves him, I am proud to have been given the role of providing his voice. Please look forward to the anime ‘The Invisible Man and the Human Woman,’ which is filled with love from the original author, Iwatobi Neko-sensei, and all the staff! BIG LOVE.”

The story is a heartwarming romantic comedy about two people who are attracted to each other: Akira Tonome, an invisible gentleman, and Shizuka Yoko, a blind, gentle human woman. The anime is directed by Mitsuho Seta and produced by Project No.9. Yohei Azagami plays the main character, Akira Tonome, and Yuka Nukui plays the heroine, Shizuka Yoko.
