On the 3rd, the distribution service ABEMA aired a special program called “I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Became the Max Level Without Realizing It – Part 2.” Are you enjoying a slow life during Golden Week? Special Program.
The program featured Hondo Kaede (Ryka), Senbongi Ayaka (Falfa), Tanaka Minami (Shalsha), and Waki Azumi (Flatterte), who reviewed the story so far in the second season and the dubbing process.
“I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Became the Max Level Without Realizing It” is a daily life comedy set in another world about the main character, Azusa, who is reincarnated as an immortal witch and has become the “world’s strongest” after 300 years of repeatedly killing slimes. She wishes for a slow life due to her regrets over her past life when she died from overwork, but she gets caught up in turmoil caused by people who hear about her strength and come to her.
The TV anime is airing for the first time in four years, starting in April 2025. The program immediately relayed the second season’s story with a digest. While talking about the appeal of this work as “a healing slow life” and “the unchanging daily life of Azusa and friends,” Tanaka touched on the unchanging Azusa and daily life in the first episode, saying, “Yuuki-san’s tsukkomi (who plays Azusa) and her acting at casual times are still explosive in the second season…!” To which Senbongi replied, “Even during the dubbing, I felt like ‘Yuuki-san’s Azusa is back!'” recalling the unchanging excitement during the dubbing.
Afterward, as the scenes of Sandra and new characters appearing on Yufufu are played one after another, the audience is excited to see Yufufu, who is full of “motherly” sexiness, saying, “She’s a great mom,” and “I love that her voice is by Kayano (Ai)! I can feel her motherly side,” and when the tsundere Sandra appears, the audience exclaims, “Kya! I’m already won over,” “Her ‘grow’ sounds weak and cute,” and “(Ogura) Yui’s voice is perfect!”, creating a lot of excitement. In the “World Spirit Conference” scene in episode 2, the audience is constantly commenting on the wide variety of spirits, saying, “They’re all so different, I’m curious,” and “I want to pause it!” and there is even a scene where Hondo suggests a spinoff of the spirits, asking, “An OVA? A spinoff?”. The audience is filled with laughter as they look back on the show in a friendly atmosphere.
