Regarding the new TV anime “Chi. -About the Earth’s Movement-“, which has been broadcast on NHK General TV since October 2024, a preview cut and synopsis of episode 21, “The Times Are Changing,” scheduled to air this weekend on Saturday, February 15th, have been newly released.

Episode 21 “Times Are a Changing” Yolenta’s choice to protect the “Heliocentric Theory” leads to a sad conclusion. Meanwhile, Schmidt and his comrades safely reunite at the organization’s headquarters. Thus, the book “On the Movement of the Earth” is finally completed through printing.
However, the plan falls apart due to a specific person’s actions. Novak finds out the location of the hideout. Should they fight to the death or retreat and prepare for the time being? As they are forced to make the ultimate choice, Duraka makes a suggestion.

The story is set in a particular European country in the 15th century. In an era when the geocentric theory, which says that the Earth is the center of the universe and the planets move around it, was considered the truth of the world, and believing or studying anything that overturned that theory was a serious crime, the child prodigy Rafal learned of the possibility of the heliocentric theory through the words of the mysterious scholar Hubert. He was called a genius by those around him, and even though he considered himself a genius, an uncontrollable and intense intellectual curiosity began to grow in him. “What on earth do I have to sacrifice to know everything about this world?” he asks, risking his own “knowledge,” “blood,” and even his life to prove the heliocentric theory.
What fate awaits Rafal? Maaya Sakamoto, the inquisitor Novak by Kenjiro Tsuda, the mysterious scholar Hubert by Shou Hayami, the substitute fighter Okuji by Katsuyuki Konishi, the monk Badeni by Yuichi Nakamura, and the astronomy research assistant Yolenta by Saya Niimi play the child prodigy Rafal.
The director is Shimizu Kenichi, the series composer is Irie Shingo, the character designer is Shino Masanori, the music is Ushio Kensuke, and the sound director is Koizumi Kisuke! This TV anime, based on the original manga by the young genius author Uoto, has a cast of voice actors and a luxurious cast of staff!
