by It has been decided that a new animation, “Cyborg 009 Nemesis,” based on Shotaro Ishinomori’s “Cyborg 009,” will be produced. Ishimori Productions announced this on July 19th, the 61st anniversary of the series’ creation.
“Cyborg 009” began serialization in Weekly King (Shonen Gahosha) on July 19th, 1964. Last year marked the 60th anniversary of the work’s creation, and various plans were developed, including a stage adaptation and a remake as a vertically read full-color manga. We will have to wait for further details on the new animation “Cyborg 009 Nemesis”.
The “no” in Shotaro Ishinomori’s name is officially written as approximately 60% smaller.
