It has been decided that the figure skating manga “Medalist,” which won first place in the comics category of the “Next Manga Award 2022”, will be made into a TV animation. A teaser visual and an illustration commemorating the TV animation by the original author Tsurumai Kada will also be released. Director Yasutaka Yamamoto and other main staff members have also been announced.
“Medalist” is based on Tsurumai Kakashi, who debuted in this work but is serialized in “Afternoon.” A figure skating manga to begin with. Driven by her obsession with the rink, Tsukasa accepts himself as a coach. Tsukasa grows as a leader with Inori, who makes his talent bloom.
The two who formed a tag aim to become a glorious “medalist.” Last year, he won first place in the comics category at the “Next Manga Award 2022”. He starred in the general category of the 68th “Shogakukan Manga Award” and the “Magademy Award 2022”, a manga award that honors manga characters.
It is a topical work that has won numerous awards as the author’s debut work, such as the main character Inori winning the actress award. A teaser visual and a commemorative illustration by the original author Tsurumai Kada has been released to commemorate this TV animation.
The main staff includes Jukki Hanada for the series composition and screenplay under director Yasutaka Yamamoto., Chinatsu Kameyama for character design, and ENGI for animation production.
On the official Twitter, there is a plan to commemorate the anime adaptation, in which one person who follows and retweets will win a complete set, including the first volume of the autographed book by the original author Tsurumai Kada. I look forward to hearing more from you in the future.
