“You are the Underworld” is an anime based on the manga of the same name by Shotan, which is currently being serialized in “Sunday Webry” (Shogakukan). It is an assassin love story about the strange life together of a good-natured high school student, Yokotani Hitoyoshi, and a former “hitman” maid, Shue, who suddenly turns up at Hitoyoshi’s house.
The heartwarming story of how Shue, who lives alone in the underworld and has no sense of emotion, learns about “family” has become popular. The total number of copies published so far exceeds 750,000 for the first eight volumes. The long-awaited TV anime began airing in October.
