by It has been announced that the first broadcast date of the TV anime “That’s Journey,” based on the original work by Ishizaka Kenta, will be April 7. The key visual, second promotional video, additional cast members, and information on collaboration with a railway company have also been released.
The TV anime “That’s Journey” will be broadcast on AT-X at 10 p.m. on April 7, followed by BS11, TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, and others. The key visual and second promotional video shows the traveling characters. Kobayashi Yu will play Yoshimoto-san, Chika’s editor at the Dengeki Maoh editorial department. Kubota Hitoshi will provide narration.
In collaboration with Tobu Railway, an event called “Tobu Zatsu Tabi” will be held, where you can experience a real “Zatsu Tabi” on the Tobu line. During the event, the characters will become Tobu Railway station staff, drivers, and conductors to introduce each station, and original goods perfect for traveling will be sold in limited quantities. In collaboration with JR East, the “That’s Journey x JR East Location Exploration Ekitag Stamp Rally” will be held from March 23 to June 30. Collect stamps at 14 stations- three stations in the Tokyo metropolitan area and 11 stations in the Tohoku area- and you can get a digital stamp if you meet the conditions. For more details, check the official websites of JR East and JRE MALL Media at around 14:00 on March 18. Also, on April 15, the ending theme song, “Bookmarks,” sung by Harucha, will be released digitally.
The jacket photo has also been released. “That’s Journey” is a story about the journey and growth of Suzugamori Chika, a female college student who aspires to be a manga artist. Chika, who was almost at her wit’s end after all the drafts she brought to the editorial department were rejected, decides to embark on a haphazard journey, deciding on her destination through a social media survey.
The original is currently being serialized in Dengeki Maoh (KADOKAWA). Comment from Kobayashi Yu (role of Yoshimoto-san): Yoshimoto Shoko, an editor, allowed Chika to embark on her journey. It was essential to push Chika and send her off.
