The TV anime The Apothecary Diaries has decided to collaborate with the “Reiwa 7 Kanda Festival.” In conjunction with this, collaboration visuals have been released depicting Nekoneko, Koran, and Shisui dressed in shrine maiden costumes and Jinshi and Gao Shun enjoying the Kanda Festival. In addition, it has been revealed that collaboration goods will be released.

“The Apothecary Diaries” depicts a girl who is a “poison taster” solving various complex cases in the harem. It is a popular harem mystery-solving entertainment series that has sold over 40 million copies. When the TV anime began broadcasting in October 2023, it was consistently ranked high in the viewing rankings on each distribution platform and won a special award at the “TVer Awards 2023″. The second season, which began airing on January 10, 2025, saw the ” #Pharmacist’s Monologue ” trend on social media immediately after the first broadcast, and the creditless opening video exceeded 1 million views on YouTube within two days of its release.

It has been ranked number one in viewing rankings on multiple distribution platforms, showing great excitement. “Kanda Festival” is held every two years in mid-May at Kanda Shrine in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. It has been held since the Edo period and is known as one of the three major festivals of Edo and one of the three major festivals in Japan. At this year’s “Reiwa 7 Kanda Festival,” the highlight of the festival, where about 200 mikoshi (portable shrines) parade through Chiyoda Ward, will be held on May 10, and the mikoshi Miyairi (portable shrine entry) will be held on May 11.

To prepare for the collaboration with this work, a newly drawn visual was also released. It shows Nekoneko, Koran, and Shisui dressed in shrine maiden costumes and Jinshi and Takashun enjoying the Kanda Festival, gathered on the grounds of Kanda Shrine. Posters using this collaborative visual will be distributed to the parishioners of the 108 neighborhood associations and displayed in Kanda, Nihonbashi, Akihabara, and other areas. In addition, it has been decided that merchandise commemorating this collaboration will be released.

In addition to acrylic stands using the collaborative visual, there will also be a goshuincho (stamp book) unique to the Kanda Myojin collaboration. These collaborative goods will be on sale online from March 22 at the Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center 1F and from 9 am to 9 am on the 22nd. It was also revealed that an illustration exhibition of the original novel, “Shinotoko Special Exhibition: Kanda Festival x The Apothecary’s Notes,” will be held from March 22 to June 1. Selected beautiful illustrations will be displayed in high-definition digital color and framed.

They will be exhibited with precious materials related to the Kanda Festival, such as picture scrolls, ukiyo-e prints, and Kumasaka Chohan’s float puppets, which are stored at Kanda Myojin, so don’t miss this. The second season of the TV anime “The Apothecary Diaries” is currently airing on Nippon Television every Friday at 11:00 pm (C) Natsu Hinata, Imagica Infos / “The Apothecary Diaries” Production Committee
