It has been revealed that the TV anime “See You at the Food Court,” based on the manga by Shinichiro Nariie, will have six episodes. The band ” Oishikure Melonpan ” will perform the opening theme, “Mikansei ni Mitsumete.” The first promotional video showcasing the song was released on YouTube.
The original manga has been a hot topic on social media, as it is about “high school girls just talking.” The PV depicts the “everyday life” of the main characters, Wada and Yamamoto.
It was also announced that an advance screening event for the first episode, featuring Hiyori Miyazaki, who plays Wada, and Yoshino Aoyama, who plays Yamamoto, will be held at Animate Ikebukuro (Toshima-ku, Tokyo) on June 13th. Original clear cards will be distributed as a gift to attendees.
The series is currently being serialized on the manga distribution site Comic Newtype (KADOKAWA). At first glance, Wada, an honor student and sheltered young lady who gives off an aura of being difficult to talk to, and Yamamoto, with her blonde hair, tanned skin, and gyaru appearance that makes people around her fear her, meet almost every day at the food court and talk about trivial things.
The anime, directed by Kazuomi Koga, known for “Rent-A-Girlfriend,” will be produced by Atelier Pontdarc and composed by Jukki Hanada. It will start airing in July.
