There are two volumes in total, each priced at 13,200 yen.

“Video Senshi Laserion” is a robot anime produced by Toei. It began with “Super Electromagnetic Robot Combattler V,” and the original characters were created by famous manga artist Shinji Imura. Hideyuki Motohashi was in charge of character design, and following on from “Lightspeed Electroman Albegas,” Kamiu Ohara, Koichi Ohata, and Akira Hio were in charge of mechanical design. Music by Chumei Watanabe and series director Kozo Morishita were also in charge.

The story begins when a robot for a fighting game programmed by the protagonist, Katori Kei, materializes in an accident during an experiment in the teleportation of matter, giving birth to Laserion. Kei is the only person able to pilot it and is incorporated into the Secret Force, where he throws himself into the flames of war as a member of the Earth Federation Forces.

The first half of the series depicts the battle against the lunar rebel army led by Dr. Godhyde, while the second half depicts the fight against invaders from the planet Jerk. The unique design of Laserion, which is made up of a laser frame and laser unit, and the final episode, which featured legendary animators such as Kaneda Yoshinori, also attracted attention.
