The Korean Cultural Center in Turkey announced on the 1st that it had held the ‘KORE+TURKIYE’ event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its opening on the 27th (local time) of last month.

This event was held with an ‘online traditional/modern fusion performance,’ a K-Pop Wangjung Wangjeon, and a congratulatory performance by the Korean K-pop group ACE.

From 2019 to this year, the winning teams of the K-pop contest hosted by the Korean Cultural Center gathered in one place to participate in the Wangjung Championship, and the winning team in the vocal and dance categories was awarded a round-trip ticket to Korea.

Ace’s celebratory performance was well-received by Hallyu fans as the server was paralyzed as more than 43,000 people connected at the same time as the free ticket was opened.

Ace held a fan meeting wearing costumes from the popular Netflix drama ‘Squid Game.’

In addition, the local media showed great interest in the performances of Korean K-pop groups, with 13 cases reported in local newspapers, 19 cases in TV broadcasts, and 306 cases in online media.
