The Korean Embassy in the Philippines announced on the 28th that the ‘2022 Pinoy Kpop Star’ held at the Music Hall of the Philippine Mall of Asia in Manila on the 16th was completed.
Pinoi K-Pop Star is the Philippine regional qualifier for the ‘Changwon K-Pop World Festival’ co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, KBS World, and Changwon City.
At the event, five teams from the singing division and five from the dance division that passed the preliminaries competed for their skills out of a total of 165 participating teams.
The three winning teams in each category can participate in the finals to be held in Changwon after undergoing further judging.
Joy Lorenze Roxine took first place in the singing category, and in the dance category, ‘ALPHA’ took first place, respectively.
About 1,000 spectators, including K-pop fans and cheerleaders, flocked to the event venue on this day.
They looked at the K-pop booth in the hall and enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the site while dancing to the music.
Consul General Lee Kyu-ho of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea said, “I am glad that the event, which was suspended due to the spread of COVID-19, is resumed.
