This work is based on a manga by Uo Yutaka. It is the story of people who risk their beliefs and lives to prove the heliocentric theory. The manga has won numerous awards, including the Manga Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
The TV anime will begin airing on NHK General TV in October and is scheduled to run for two consecutive seasons with 25 episodes. After each episode has aired, it will be available for free streaming on ABEMA and worldwide on Netflix.
Episode 19 “There is Ethics in Doubt”
Yolenta was the head of the “Heretical Liberation Front.” Her goal was to spread the “Heliocentric Theory” to the world using the latest letterpress printing technology and expose the corruption and deception of the church simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Novak, who had lost his purpose in life after believing his daughter to be dead, spent his days hanging out in bars. Then, once again, the “Heliocentric Theory” that he thought he had put an end to with his own hands appeared before him.
