This project is part of the “Year-End and New Year’s Free Anime Sale,” which broadcasts over 300 titles for free at once. The lineup includes “Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story (1996 version),” which will be broadcast free of charge for the first time on ABEMA, as well as “Ultra Q,” which laid the foundation for the Ultraman series; “Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack,” the first completely original Gundam film; the wildly popular car racing anime “Initial D,” which depicts the “legend of the fastest car on public roads;” and the nationally beloved family comedy anime “Crayon Shin-chan.” In addition, the “New Year’s Free Anime Sale” offers over 300 titles, including not only new anime but also classic feature-length films and the latest 2026 anime sequels, all free.
