Fans of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba have a new collection of character illustrations to admire. Animation studio ufotable has revealed a beautifully designed set of newly drawn artwork titled “Rose Garden,” featuring six popular characters enjoying a peaceful autumn afternoon in the garden of an elegant Western-style mansion. Surrounded by blooming roses and dressed in stylish classical outfits, the characters have quickly attracted attention from fans.
The illustrations were announced as part of ufotable’s participation in Animate Girls Festival 2026 (AGF2026), which will take place on November 7 and 8 in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The newly drawn artwork will be used for an assortment of event merchandise, giving fans an opportunity to collect items featuring the special autumn-themed designs.
The six characters featured in the collection are Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Kyojuro Rengoku, Tengen Uzui, Giyu Tomioka, and Shinobu Kocho. Each character is shown enjoying a relaxing moment in a garden where autumn roses are in full bloom.
The announcement has received enthusiastic reactions online. Fans have praised the characters’ elegant outfits and the romantic atmosphere of the artwork. Comments include, “He’s so handsome I could ascend to heaven,” “Tengen looks amazing with those roses,” and “Rengoku is so cool I collapsed to my knees.” Other fans have described Tanjiro and Zenitsu as adorable and Shinobu as especially charming.
Six Demon Slayer Characters Appear in the Elegant Rose Garden Collection
ufotable introduced the new artwork with a message explaining that the characters are enjoying reading in the garden of a Western-style mansion surrounded by blooming autumn roses.
Unlike the intense battles and dramatic moments commonly associated with the series, the illustrations present the characters in a calm and sophisticated setting. The garden, decorative roses, and classical architecture create an atmosphere that feels closer to an elegant autumn storybook.
The six characters are dressed in Western-inspired clothing, including formal outfits and accessories. Their relaxed poses and reading-themed concept give the collection a distinctive appearance compared with the franchise’s usual action-focused promotional artwork.
The featured characters are:
- Tanjiro Kamado: The kind-hearted Demon Slayer appears in a refined outfit, bringing his familiar warmth to the elegant garden setting.
- Zenitsu Agatsuma: Known for his nervous personality and impressive Thunder Breathing abilities, Zenitsu appears in a charming new look.
- Kyojuro Rengoku: The Flame Hashira’s confident presence gives the autumn-themed artwork a striking character.
- Tengen Uzui: The Sound Hashira’s flamboyant personality makes him a natural fit for the decorative rose garden concept.
- Giyu Tomioka: The Water Hashira’s calm and reserved appearance adds a more understated elegance to the collection.
- Shinobu Kocho: The Insect Hashira brings a graceful presence to the artwork, complementing the flowers and classical surroundings.
The combination of six fan-favourite characters, formal clothing, and a peaceful reading theme gives the collection a different visual appeal from the series’ usual battle scenes.

Giyu Tomioka also received plenty of compliments, with one fan joking that his handsome appearance was enough to make them “ascend to heaven.” Rengoku’s confident expression and striking outfit were another highlight for fans.
Tanjiro and Zenitsu received affectionate comments about their adorable appearances, while Shinobu’s elegant design was described as especially precious.
Some fans also expressed a desire to keep looking at the illustrations, with one comment describing the artwork as something they could stare at until they burned a hole through it.
These reactions show how much enthusiasm there is for ufotable’s original character illustrations, particularly when the studio presents familiar characters in a completely different setting.
Special Reading Sets Available Online
One of the more distinctive items is the “Reading Together Set,” which is available exclusively through the ufotable online shop.
Each character version includes a large acrylic panel, a book cover inspired by the book illustrated with the character, and a bookmark-style clear card. The set is designed around the theme of enjoying the autumn reading season alongside the characters.
The six versions feature Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Giyu, Shinobu, Rengoku, and Tengen. Each set costs ¥15,000.
Unlike the main event merchandise, these special reading sets will not be sold at the physical AGF2026 booth. Fans who want one will need to use the official online shop.
When Can Fans Buy the Merchandise?
The merchandise will be available at ufotable’s AGF2026 booth beginning November 7, 2026. Online sales through ufotableWEBSHOP are scheduled to run from November 7 at 10:00 a.m. until November 30 at midnight, Japan Standard Time.
The official event page also warns that products may sell out depending on demand. Some items are sold in random or blind packaging, meaning buyers cannot necessarily choose the exact design they receive.
Special Rose Garden Photo Spot at the Event
Visitors to the ufotable booth will also be able to enjoy a dedicated photo spot featuring a rose arch.
The display is designed to let visitors take photographs alongside character panels featuring the six Demon Slayer characters. It allows fans to experience the Rose Garden theme beyond the merchandise itself.
One interesting detail is that the character display panels will change every 50 minutes. The characters appearing at the photo spot will therefore depend on the time of the visit.
The official schedule includes different pairings throughout the day, featuring combinations such as Tanjiro and Shinobu, Zenitsu and Rengoku, and Giyu and Tengen.
Fans planning to visit specifically for a particular character should check the official display timetable before arriving.
Demon Slayer AGF2026 Collaboration Café Opens in Ikebukuro
The Rose Garden celebration will also extend beyond the event venue.
ufotable CHARACTERS Cafe IKEBUKURO will hold a limited-time AGF collaboration from November 1 to November 19, 2026.
The café will offer a special commemorative drink inspired by the autumn rose garden illustration. Called AGF Drink 2026, the beverage costs ¥700 and combines rose syrup, tea, and dried flowers.
The drink is designed to evoke the atmosphere of an autumn garden filled with roses. A rose-themed decoration inspired by the new illustrations is also included.
Customers who order the special drink will receive one randomly selected coaster as a purchase bonus. The café collaboration is therefore another opportunity for fans to enjoy the Rose Garden concept outside the main AGF event.
According to ufotable, the drink is also planned to be offered through ufotable TO GO event locations from November 20 onward. Further details are expected through the official ufotable TO GO account.
A Look Back at Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
For readers who are new to the franchise, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge.
The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a kind-hearted boy whose peaceful life is destroyed when demons attack his family. His younger sister, Nezuko, survives the attack but is transformed into a demon.
Determined to restore Nezuko’s humanity and protect others from the same tragedy, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps, an organization dedicated to fighting dangerous demons.
As he travels and trains, Tanjiro meets other Demon Slayers, including Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. He also encounters the Hashira, the elite swordsmen who serve as the strongest members of the Demon Slayer Corps.
The anime is produced by ufotable, a studio widely recognised for its detailed action animation, striking visual effects, and cinematic presentation. Its adaptations have become major successes, including theatrical releases that have attracted audiences around the world.
Although the original manga has concluded, the anime franchise continues to receive attention through new projects, promotional campaigns, merchandise, and special collaborations.
ufotable’s “Rose Garden” collection gives Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans a refreshing look at six familiar characters. Instead of focusing on sword fights and demon battles, the new illustrations place Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Rengoku, Tengen, Giyu, and Shinobu in a peaceful autumn setting filled with roses, books, and elegant Western-style details.
The collection also offers plenty for merchandise collectors, with acrylic stands, photo cards, badges, stationery, fragrance items, and special online-exclusive reading sets. The additional photo spot and collaboration café make the campaign more than a simple merchandise announcement.
With AGF2026 approaching on November 7 and 8, fans in Japan will soon have the opportunity to experience the Rose Garden theme in person. For international fans, the online merchandise sales period beginning November 7 will be particularly worth checking.
Whether it is Tengen surrounded by roses, Giyu’s elegant appearance, Rengoku’s confident look, or the adorable expressions of Tanjiro and Zenitsu, the new artwork gives fans another reason to celebrate the world of Demon Slayer.
