‘2021 Seoul International Music Fair
(MU: CON)’ (in the future, ‘MU-CON 2021’) will be held online for three days from September 30 to October 2.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, ‘Mu-Con’ is Asia’s largest global music market that seeks to advance overseas by establishing networks in the domestic and foreign music industry and activating exchanges between industry professionals. Under the theme of ’10 Years and Future of K-Pop: A DECADE OF K-POP AND THE FUTURE AHEAD’, this event will introduce a new direction for ‘Mucon.’
‘Mucon’ is planning to use the strength of ‘the globalization of K-pop’ to discover promising new K-pop musicians and serve as a gateway to overseas expansion. Accordingly, in the B2B method of introducing domestic musicians to the existing limited overseas buyers, the opportunity to contact consumers increases. The program will also be enriched, from memorable performances to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Mu-Con to conferences, pitching, networking, showcase, and music tech IR (company briefing) pitching.

The 10th special performance
On the 30th, ‘MU: CON X The Celebration’ will be held on the afternoon of the 30th, the first day of ‘Mucon 2021’, with all K-pop musicians such as NCT DREAM, Pentagon, and Samuel Seo. Along with main MC Younha, group NCT Dream and Pentagon, and rock bands Monni, Soran, and fusion Korean music band Jambinai, musicians of various genres such as Brave Girls, Wonho, and Samuel Seo will stage a splendid stage. The second lineup of the 10th-anniversary celebration of Mu-Con will be additionally revealed.
The ‘Mu-Con Showcase,’ which runs from September 30 to October 2, will feature musicians of various genres, including Jamie, Phil Kim, Saeboy, Vivi, Ahn Ye-eun, Katie, and Gaho. Hot Issue, Kingdom, and DKB, many up-and-coming K-pop musicians will participate, and a total of 42 teams will perform.
If selected as an excellent musician in ‘MuCon Showcase,’ support for participation in ‘K Music Week’ and global promotion benefits will be provided.
