“Ame to Kimi to” is a TV anime based on the soothing manga serialized in “Weekly Young Magazine” by Yuki Nikaido, which has sold over 500,000 copies. The story begins when the protagonist, Fuji, meets a slightly unusual “dog” on his way home soaking wet.

The dog uses a flip to appeal to Fuji to “pick me up” and offers him a folding umbrella. But this dog is more than just strange…? Fuji spends his days eating, going out, chatting (?) with his slightly odd companion, and feeling the four seasons on an ordinary day.

The story depicts a loving life of a man and a dog, with a heartwarming and precious “just a little more.” This work has been announced to start airing on the “NUMAnimation” slot on 24 TV Asahi affiliates nationwide and on BS Asahi from July 2025. In addition, additional cast information has been announced, following Hayami Saori as Fuji, Kamakura Arina as Mimi, Sato Satomi as Ren, and Yumoto Yuzu as Nozomi. Anna Mugiho will play the role of Kimi, the dog (?) that Fuji picks up, the other main character of the work.

Comments have also been received from each cast member.

It has also been revealed that a unique stage for this work will be held at the NBC Universal Entertainment booth at “AnimeJapan 2025” from 2:00 p.m. on March 23. Hayami Saori, Mugiho Anna, Kamakura Arina, Sato Satomi, and Yumoto Yuzu are scheduled to appear. Exhibitions and novelty items will be handed out at the venue, and the special stage will be streamed for free, so fans should definitely check it out.

The TV anime “Ame to Kimi to” will be broadcast on the “NUMAnimation” slot on 24 TV Asahi affiliated stations nationwide and on BS Asahi from July 2025. We look forward to further updates. Anna Mugiho, who plays Kimi (Kimi), gives the impression of a quiet creature. I have an image of a tranquil presence and movement.

I came across the original work and read it by chance before I was approached, and I even thought, “I hope you don’t have a voice if it becomes an anime…!” In my quiet life with Fuji, I’m sure Fuji would be able to hear your breathing, so I’m thoroughly dubbing each episode to be close to you.

The world of “You and the Rain” is detailed, delicate, cute, and somehow cold but kind. It’s a work that makes you feel like even the parts of yourself that you can’t even look at have been given a place to belong. Please look forward to the anime version of “You and the Rain”! Tatsuo: Yoji Ueda To express the unique atmosphere of the original work in an anime format, the cast and staff worked delicately and carefully on the breathing and small nuances, and I felt a sense of accomplishment even during the recording. Meanwhile, the father’s part sometimes requires bold expression, and I enjoy playing that range.

This is a work where not only the images but also the sounds are vital. I look forward to seeing how the completed work will reach everyone’s hearts. Michiko: Mie Sonozaki, A new life with a strange dog… No, a dog that suddenly appeared on a short-sentence SNS with a different name from now.

The exchanges between the seemingly extraordinary animal (?) and the person are unexpectedly delicate, and amid our hectic daily lives, I secretly looked forward to it. I will play Fuji’s mother, a family member who adds extra spice to “you” and “her daily life.”I hope I can add some color to your leisurely time… please look forward to it. Teru’s role: Kikunosuke Toya The warm atmosphere of the original work can be felt in the anime, and I participated in the dubbing with a smile.

This is true in the animation and in everyone’s acting, including Hayami and Mugiho, which is warm and healing. I love this work, so I would happily add some color to it as one of the cast members. Please look forward to the anime broadcast! Wako’s role: Yumiri Hanamori I’m Yumiri Hanamori, who will be playing Wako. Wako and Teru are newlyweds, but Wako has another family member in her belly…! Happiness, kindness, and a little anxiety. I will do my best to make this a lovely work like a rainy day. I appreciate your support! Veterinarian: ChafurinIt’s a very gentle world… I’m sure you’ll love rainy days too.

This is a story about a slightly unusual “you” that we meet in our everyday lives, and I played the even more unusual veterinary doctor. Of course, I’ve come to love rainy days too.
