The TV anime series “Dead Account” is scheduled to begin airing on January 10, 2026. Additionally, the second and third key visuals, new cast information, and theme song information have been released.
This action-packed anime is based on the manga of the same name by Watanabe Shizu, currently serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket. To earn money for his younger sister, Himari, Sori Egishiro streams daily under the name “Agaringo,” a controversial streamer.
However, after a certain incident, he is awakened to his electrical powers and taken to “Miden Academy,” a school shrouded in mysterious rumors. It’s a school dedicated to training new-generation spiritual mediums who exorcise ghosts that have become digitalized with the spread of the internet.
The newly released visual features Sori Egishiro, Kasumi Ruka, Kiyoe Urushigawa, Renri Usumi, Hiyori Haijima, Shigehiko Emoto, and Yoimaru Tsurugi at Miden Academy. The new cast members are Imai Fumiya as Eigidoro of the First Floor Class, Sato Gen as Wakakari Minoru, Uchida Maaya as Kusaba Megumi, Kumagai Kentaro as Owada Ikko, Miyazaki Masaya as Namekawa Kiri, and Fukuyama Jun as Akana Ban.
The third PV also features the first appearance of new character voices. The opening theme will be “Dead End” by Igarashi Haru, and the ending theme will be “The Next Life Will Be Like Anything” by Kaneko Miyu. Comments: Imai Fumiya (role of Eigidoro): Eigidoro is a character who perfectly fits the description of a “masochistic pervert.” He’s a character who constantly shouts and acts tough, so it was very stimulating and fun to play him.
This work features many unique characters. I hope you enjoy the unique expressions only achievable in anime. Sato Gen (role of Wakakari Minoru): I’m Sato Gen, playing the role of Wakakari Minoru! Wakakari is an incredible perfectionist whose sense of justice is out of control, and I tried to portray him as stubborn, refusing to compromise on his inner beliefs, no matter what anyone says.
What will happen when this man, who holds absolute justice, gets involved with Enjo and the others? Look forward to it! Maaya Uchida (Kusaba Megumi): A girl in love! When she falls in love, she’s straightforward and has the energy to pursue the person she loves. She’s also smart enough to use her abilities calmly during battle… Despite her cute and sweet impression, she’s a tough character. Kusaba has a soft, airy air about her. I tried to make the ♡ at the end of her sentences tangible through sound. I thought the tempo was more important than the lively feel, so I focused on the speech’s pace and word placement.
The anime is almost here! I hope you enjoy it! See you in the world of Dead Account! Kumagai Kentaro (role of Owada Ikko) I’m Kumagai Kentaro, and I’ll be voicing Owada Ikko. Contrary to the image you might get from his flashy appearance and way of speaking, Ikko is actually a good guy.
However, I was aware of how the members of the First Floor Class B viewed him during the recording. What exactly is his power of electricity, and what role will he play in the First Floor Class A? I hope you’ll pay attention! Miyazaki Masaya (role of Namekawa Kiri), I’ll be voicing Namekawa Kiri. I’m Miyazaki Masaya. He gives off the impression of a small child with a strange and mysterious aura. Depending on the scene, that strangeness can be scary or endearing. I hope you’ll look forward to his appearance, including his electrical powers, fighting style, and comments! Fukuyama Jun (role of Akina Ban) I’m Fukuyama Jun, and I’ll be voicing Akina Ban.
I did my best to convey Akina’s sense of beauty and love, even among the talented, unique students at Yaden Academy. Be sure to witness their brilliance as they fight the ghost accounts!! Igarashi Haru (Opening Theme) I’m Igarashi Haru, and I’m in charge of “Dead End,” the opening theme for the anime “Dead Account.” I poured my heart into every note, creating the song so as not to detract from the original work’s worldview, sense of speed, and the deep emotions hidden within. During the production period, I was immersed in the work. I hope this song adds even a little color to the beginning of the story. Please enjoy.
Kaneko Miyu (Ending Theme) As a huge anime fan, I’m highly honored to have been in charge of the ending theme for “Dead Account.” The work and the song are linked in many places, and the song’s appeal deepens as the story progresses. I hope you’ll listen to it a lot. The PV released so far is also beautiful, so please enjoy it as well.
