It was made into an anime by NHK from 1998 to 2000, with the first and second seasons being called the Clow Card Arc and the third being called the Sakura Card Arc.
In 2016, the 20th anniversary of the series, a new chapter, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc, will begin for the first time in 16 years.
