A special trailer for “Jardugal of the Tent” has been released, announcing that it will be made into a TV anime. In addition, the original author, Tomato Soup, has sent in a celebratory illustration and comment.
“Jadugal of the Tent” is a harem tale set in 13th-century Mongolia. The story follows Sitara (Fatima), a former slave girl who was captured by the Mongol Empire, who meets Dregene, the sixth wife of the Mongolian emperor, who also has complicated feelings towards the Mongol Empire and uses her wisdom to shake up the empire.
This historical manga is currently attracting a lot of attention. It won first place in the women’s edition of Takarajimasha’s “This Manga is Amazing! 2023” and was also ranked in the “Manga Taisho” for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024.
The animation will be produced by Science SARU, which is highly regarded around the world for the overwhelming quality of its work, including ” Dandadan,” “The Tale of the Heike,” and “Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!”
In the style of old cartoons, the celebratory illustration depicts the adorable Sitara and Dregene celebrating the animation with grassland and tents in the background. The sight of a lamb rejoicing beside Sitara is also quite memorable.
In response to the decision to make the TV anime, a special promotional video was released using illustrations from the original manga. Set to Western Asian-style music, the video introduces Shitara, Dregene, and the film’s story and includes the TV anime’s title logo.
The logo differs from the original manga’s, yet it expresses the nature of the work and builds expectations for the TV anime.
