The 3rd season of the popular anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” and “TV Anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Swordsmith Village Edition” started broadcasting on Fuji TV on the 9th. Following the opening theme song, milet x MAN WITH A MISSION was in charge of the unreleased ending theme song, and it was announced that it would be “Koikogare.”
MAN WITH A MISSION x milet “Koikogare,” which is in charge of the OP and ED, is written, composed, and produced by Yuki Kajiura, who has worked on the ending theme song for the anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba.” MAN WITH A MISSION arranged the music in collaboration with Kajiura, and the band members also participated in the performance.
A CD containing the opening theme songs MAN WITH A MISSION x milet “Kizuna no Kiseki” and “Koikogare” will be released on May 31st.
“Kimetsu no Yaiba” is based on the manga of the same name that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from February 2016 to May 2020 and is a famous work that has sold over 150 million copies in total. Set in a world inhabited by man-eating demons in the Taisho period, Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family was killed by monsters, returns his younger sister Nezuko, who became a demon, back to humans, and avenges the demons who killed his family—a story about joining the Demon Slayer Corps and going on a journey.
The first season of the TV anime was broadcast from April to September 2019, and it became a social phenomenon with its popularity. The movie “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinite Train Edition,” which is connected to the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020 and became a massive hit with domestic box office revenue exceeding 40 billion yen, and the movie will continue from December 2021. The second season of the TV anime “Yukaku-hen” is broadcast.
And the continuation of the second season, the third season, “Swordsmith’s Village Edition,” is a story from the 12th volume of the original comic. Put it down. On the other hand, Kotetsuzuka is furious with Tanjiro for having his sword chipped in his fight with Gifutaro. The central characters of the story are Muichiro Tokitou (CV: Kengo Kawanishi), the highest-ranking swordsman of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kasumibashira (CV: Kengo Kawanishi), and Mitsuri Kanroji (CV: Kana Hanazawa).
Millet’s Comment
While I was singing “Koikogare,” written by Yuki Kajiura, I wondered how I would feel if I were in this world and what kind of expression I would use to convey the words of this song. I repeated my voice politely. I would be happy if “Koikogare,” which sang a straight-forward desire to protect someone important to you, could add a bright color like the morning glow to “The TV anime ‘Devil’s Blade’ Swordsmith’s Village Edition.”

Comment from Yuki Kajiura I was looking forward to the start of the TV anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Swordsmith’s Village. I was honored to write the lyrics and music for “Koikogare,” the song that decorates the ED of this work, “Milet x MAN WITH A MISSION,” which is delivered with a gorgeous lineup. It’s a happy song that MAN WITH A MISSION even arranged for a fantastic band.
I hope you enjoy it with a beautiful singing voice, performance, and work!
