“MF Ghost” is a manga work based on Shuichi Shigeno and serialized in “Young Magazine” (Kodansha) since 2017. The cumulative circulation of books has exceeded 3.5 million. In the near future world view setting of the popular work “Initial D”, which was also serialized in “Young Magazine” from 1995 to 2013 and depicts the “fastest legend on public roads”, a car race battle on an existing public road I’m drawing.
Following the previous special report, in this second PV, the scene where many sports cars including TOYOTA 86 are running is released with Eurobeat. Eurobeat, which was used as an insert song for the battle scene in the past “Initial D” anime series, is now being adopted in the successor “MF Ghost”! The realistic running sound of each vehicle with an actual voice recording brings out the realism of the car race battle.
At the end of the second PV, the main character, Katagiri Natsumukai (Kanata Rivington), who sits in the driver’s seat just before the start of TOYOTA 86, also appears. And along with the heroine Saionji Ren, the character set by Naoyuki Onda has been released.
Kanata is a half-Japanese and British half who graduated from a famous British racing school, and Koi is a high school girl who lives in Kanata’s place of residence in Japan. Based on Shuichi Shigeno’s original work, I’m looking forward to seeing how the two characters newly drawn as an anime version will be drawn in the video.
And the main staff of this work is also released. The director will be Tomohito Naka, who was in charge of the “New Initial D the Movie” series, and the production studio will be Felix Film, which is led by Naka. The series composition is “If you are cute, will you like it even if you are perverted?” And Kenichi Yamashita of “Kyoto Teramachi Sanjo Homes”, Naoyuki Onda who was in charge of “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway of the Flash” and “PSYCHO-PASS Psychopath 3” for character design, and “New Theatrical Version” Yasuki Dobashi, who was in charge of the “Initial D” series, and Masafumi Mima, who was in charge of “Initial D” (TV series) and “Advance Giant”, were decided by himself, who has a deep knowledge of cars.
On May 6, 2022 (Friday), the latest 14 volumes of the original manga “MF Ghost” will be released by Kodansha.
