The TV anime “The Court Magician Who Was Limited to Support Magic Because His Allies Were Weak, Was Banished and Aims to Become the Strongest,” which began airing in October, has announced the addition of Yoko Hikasa, Kisho Taniyama, and Shogo Sakata to the cast. The second main promotional video and key visual have also been released.
Hikasa will play Olivia, a member of the S-rank party, Nameless, and an excellent swordsman. Taniyama will play Gloria, a member of the Dark Guild who transforms her blood into magical power, and Sakata will play Melea Dial, the strongest swordsman nicknamed the “Sword Saint.” The second key visual also features Olivia, Gloria, and Melea Dial. Comments from Hikasa, Taniyama, and Sakata have also been released.
Comment from Yoko Hikasa (role of Olivia): When I shared my thoughts about playing Olivia, I saw the director nod silently. After seeing him nod silently, I felt more confident taking on the role. Olivia’s emotional wounds always manifest as physical wounds, so both need to be healed. I will portray Olivia as a character who stands up and becomes aware of her various emotions without running away, so I hope you will enjoy the film!
Comment from Kisho Taniyama (role of Gloria): In a story where the protagonists are endlessly strong and never lose, I play the loser who is caught up in the endless waves of power inflation and ultimately suffers a miserable defeat. It is an indescribable feeling, but I hope that the antagonist’s defeat and the struggle leading up to it will help viewers appreciate the depth of a battle story that is a win-or-lose dichotomy.
Comment from Shogo Sakata (role of Melea Dial): I will be playing the role of Melea Dial. I’m Sakata Shogo. Sword Saint… The strongest S-rank solo party… What a nice sounding title… I hope you watch until the end to find out what he’s thinking as he swings his sword, standing in the way of the main character’s party. Thank you.
