The Yokosuka City Tourism Association and other members of the Yokosuka Promotion and Attractiveness Dissemination Executive Committee will start a new project to attract people to the area with the power of animation. Collaboration with one TV anime, “Slow Loop,” set in Yokosuka, broadcasting on January 7th (Friday). In addition to making work characters appear in AR in various parts of the city, restaurants will provide related menus to encourage excursions.
AR character appearance, collaboration gourmet
“Slow Loop” is Maiko Uchino, a manga artist. The main characters are two high school girls who enjoy fishing, and they enjoy a slow life against the sea and nature. No description identifies Yokosuka in work, but many places and buildings are reminiscent of it.
In the collaboration project, 16 types of anime characters will appear in AR at 13 locations in the city. The aim is to connect the sights depicted in work called “Sacred Places Pilgrimage” to the places related to the area where fans and others can relive the scene. If you take a picture of the scenery of Yokosuka and an anime character together and post it on Twitter, you will get a prize by lottery to make it widely known.
We will also develop a gourmet project, “YOKOSUKA, S Kitchen,” in which 29 restaurants in the city participate. Each store develops an original menu inspired by the same work. There are fish dishes, curry, sweets, etc., and the original luncheon mat will be presented to the person who ordered it. In addition, collaboration goods such as tapestries and wooden straps are also on sale. We are also planning to commercialize Sukajan.
Anime broadcast is from 10:30 pm every Friday on TOKYO MX and others.
