The theatrical version of the anime “Kuma Dyutsū” series, “Kumajiro! Save the Earth! ~Kuma Dyutsū~,” is coming to Japan, slated for release at approximately 70 Aeon Cinemas nationwide starting November 28, 2025. The Japanese dubbed version stars Takuya Eguchi and Hiroki Nanami. A teaser visual and a promotional video with dialogue were unveiled alongside the announcement, along with comments from Eguchi and Nanami.

“Kumajiro! Save the Earth! ~Kuma Dyutsū~” (original title: “Kuma Dyutsū・Returning Earth”) is the first film in the hugely popular “Kuma Dyutsū” anime series, featuring the adventures of two bear brothers and their friends.

The “Kuma Dyutsū” series has been broadcast and streamed in over 100 countries and regions worldwide, with each film being a huge hit, grossing over ¥150 billion. One of the biggest hits in the series, “Kumajiro! Save the Earth! ~Bear Appearance~,” has grossed approximately 20 billion yen as of June 2025.

The “Bear Appearance” series finally makes its full-scale debut in Japan with the Japanese dub, and it has been revealed that Takuya Eguchi and Hiroki Nanami will co-star in the Japanese dubbed version. Eguchi will play the airheaded yet lovable Kumajiro, while Nanami, a former Takarazuka Revue actor, will play the cute-looking but cynical space creature Abu.

Majiro, who is a clumsy boy, dreams of becoming a hero. However, he always fails and is constantly reliant on his capable older brother, Kumataro. One day, a mysterious flying object falls into a peaceful forest. Peering into the mysterious lump of iron, Kumajiro suddenly becomes a genius. Just then, Kumajiro is confronted by an alien creature named Abu. Abu persuades Kumajiro to join him in traveling to a specific location to use the mysterious power known as the “Core” that has entered Kumajiro’s head.

However, a huge evil organization is targeting the two. Will the two be able to join forces to defeat the villains and protect the Earth and their friends?
