“The Summer the Light Died” is based on the popular manga by Mokumoku Ren, which has sold over 3.5 million copies. It is a coming-of-age horror story about high school boy Yoshiki Tsujinaka (voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi ) and his best friend, “Something” Hikaru (voiced by Shuichiro Umeda), who is in the form of Ido Hikaru.
Episode 10 “The Truth”
Yoshiki is relieved when Hikaru wakes up after two full days of sleep. Lately, Hikaru has been able to sense pain, and he is definitely “weaker” than before.
While Yoshiki and the others are confused by the appearance of a mysterious man who attacks them with a sword that appears to have a curse, Tanaka is confronted by Takeda. It seems that Tanaka has a “personal goal” separate from the mission he has been ordered to fulfill by his company.
