The new anime series “Takopi’s Original Sin,” which began streaming in July, will reach its final episode with the sixth episode, which will be released on August 2nd. Promotional illustrations and posts have been released.

This series has attracted attention for its unusual decision to stream exclusively, without a television broadcast, given the manga’s original content. Some viewers have expressed disbelief that the next episode will be the finale.

However, since the manga is a complete story in two volumes, some viewers feel it’s appropriate to end the series in about half the length of a regular anime, and that “there’s no need to drag it out with original anime elements.” On the same day, ABEMA also announced a ranking of comments for episode 3, “Takopi’s Confession,” which aired on Saturday, July 12th.

They conducted an independent survey of the scenes that garnered the most comments from viewers. They published the “Top 3 Most Commented Scenes from Episode 3 of ‘Takopi’s Original Sin'” on the official ABEMA Anime Channel X.

Top 3 Most Commented Scenes in Episode 3 of “Takopi’s Original Sin” – Episode 3, “Takopi’s Confession” 1st Place: Shizuka’s heart flutters, Azuma; 2nd Place: Marina’s parents’ marital quarrel and Marina’s smiling portrayal of Tacopi; 3rd Place: Shizuka, Marina, and Azuma’s seemingly peaceful daily life.

“Takopi’s Original Sin” is a manga by Taizan5 serialized on the manga app “Shonen Jump+” (Shueisha). Tacopi, a Happy Alien who descends to Earth to spread happiness, meets Shizuka, a girl who never smiles, and uses his magical Happy Gadgets to bring back Shizuka’s smile.

The shocking plot, which begins with bullying and family issues, quickly became a social media sensation, recording the highest number of views of any serialized work on “Shonen Jump+” at the time and ranking third in the “This Manga is Amazing! 2023” Men’s Edition. Despite being completed in two volumes, the manga has already sold over 1.45 million copies before airing, demonstrating its popularity.
