Bartender” is an original work by Araki Shiro and a manga by Kenshi Nagatomo, and was serialized inSuper Jump” and “Grand Jump” (both published by Shueisha) from 2004 to 2012, with a circulation of 3.6 million copies (2023). A TV anime adaptation of the popular manga (as of April 2017).
Character and cocktail visuals focusing on characters and cocktails are being released one after another as a unique attempt at work with an alcohol theme. The sixth one is Kelvin Chen x Grasshopper.
As its name suggests, Grasshopper derives its name from the color of a grasshopper and uses mint and cacao liqueurs to create a short cocktail that blends in a highly aromatic way. It is a sweet cocktail and is often drunk as a dessert after a meal.
Kelvin Chen, a young bartender who came to Japan from Singapore, is an original anime character. How he interacts with the main character, Sasakura is still shrouded in mystery.
