This is mathematical entertainment in which Gaku Kitada, a genius mathematician who gave up his dream of becoming a mathematician, challenges the world of cooking, which is full of talent, together with Kai Asakura, a mysterious culinary figure. Take creates beautiful dishes that amaze those around him with his mathematical thinking, and the story unfolds about whether he can grow as a chef with Umi.
This TV anime, which will be broadcast in July, depicts the dazzling dishes and human drama resulting from mathematics. It will be broadcast every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. on the “IMAnimation” slot on 24 TV Asahi-affiliated stations nationwide.
A teaser visual with the catchphrase “Mathematics makes cooking exciting!” was also released. It shows Take cooking with shining eyes and Umi standing happily behind him, with various mathematical formulas scattered around them.
The teaser PV was also unveiled. It depicts the dramatic portrayal of Take struggling to create recipes with mathematical thinking and the charismatic chef Umi challenging God with their cooking. Take, who experienced failure in mathematics, is invited by Umi to “come to me” and enter the world of cooking. It’s a heartwarming video of two geniuses striving for the top and creating gorgeous dishes.
As a follow-up to “AnimeJapan 2025,” where the series will be exhibited, it has been revealed that autographed colored paper by Ryosuke Tomita, who plays Gaku Kitada, and Yasuto Saka, who plays Kai Asakura, will be on display at the TV Asahi booth (AnimeJapan East Hall 2 Booth No. A29).
In addition to the TV Asahi booth, a limited number of original postcards will be distributed free of charge at the Pia booth (AnimeJapan East Hall 2 Booth No. A26). The two prominent cast members will also be appearing at the “Pia Presents TV Anime ‘Fermat’s Cooking’ and ‘The Magician Kunon Can See’ Special Stage” starting at 11:00 on March 23, so be sure to stop by multiple booths at the venue.
