by GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS, the first TV anime from Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear fighting game series, will begin airing on TOKYO MX every Saturday from 10:30 pm, April 5th (Sat). The synopsis and preview cuts for episode 01 have now arrived.
The animation will be handled by Sanzigen, known for producing the Bushiroad series “BanG Dream!”, which utilizes 3DCG and animation. It will be released online at the Anime Store and broadcast on ABC TV every Wednesday from 1:45 am starting April 9th.

01 “Ceremony” Shin Kiske was born to Kai, the father of the Illyrian kings, and Dizzy, the mother of a half-gear. Shin was heading to Illyria Castle to witness his parents’ wedding, which had been postponed due to various circumstances. The marriage between a human and a gear was previously taboo. Amidst the celebrations, a mysterious girl suddenly appears.

In this age when once flourishing science and technology have fallen into decline, a new energy called magic is driving them. Humanity has created a forbidden biological weapon called “Gears.”
The Gears that were born will eventually rebel against society. Although humanity barely won the survival war that would later be called the Holy War, the sacrifices were great, and even after more than a decade had passed since its end, the wounds in people’s hearts had not healed. Shin Kiske, a child born between a human and a Gear, was heading to his father Kai and mother Dizzy’s wedding. It was the most taboo marriage between a human and a Gear. It was a ceremony that took a long time to come to fruition, even in a peaceful world.
The wedding was filled with many mixed emotions, but was filled with blessings. Suddenly, a mysterious girl appears – a child destined to inherit the blood of Gears. And a mysterious girl who hates Gears. The encounter between the two brings a great shock to the world.
