“Ossan Kensei” is an anime based on a novel by author Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrator Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. The original is a popular series that has sold over 8 million copies in total and tells the story of a middle-aged sword master named Beryl Gardenant (CV: Hiroaki Hirata), who runs a dojo in a rural area but is appointed as a special instructor for the Kingdom Knights through the efforts of a former student and faces off against various powerful foes.
