The original ‘End’ was not drawn in Miyuki’s anime. Is there a big boo for the voice actor?

The hero who sways between the two is “Miyuki.”

On March 31, 1983, the TV anime “Miyuki” started broadcasting. The original is Mitsuru Adachi. It is a romantic comedy work that focuses on romance, rare among Mitsuru Adachi’s works that often depict human patterns involving sports. The swaying motion was drawn between them.

From the latter half of the 1970s to the first half of the 1980s, TV animations that were once aimed at small children were increasing in number, targeting high teens. “Miyuki” is one of them.

In particular, “Miyuki” stands out among the anime at that time as a work centred on love. In the first half of the 1980s, several pieces that emphasized romance, such as “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross”, “Tokimeki Tonight”, and “Cat’s Eye”, appeared. Still, they did not include science fiction elements or fantasy elements and pursued romance purely. As for the work, “Miyuki” seems to be the earliest work.

The director (chief director) was Mizuho Nishikubo. He was active as a director at Tatsunoko Production and was called “Tatsunoko Shitenno”, along with Mamoru Oshii and others. For Mr Nishikubo, “Miyuki” was the first series director’s work, and with his well-trained skills, he did a great job of “directing love”, which he has little experience in the animation industry.

In this work, the voice actor was also devised. Young voice actors were cast to focus on boys’ and girls’ romance. In particular, Yoko Oginome, a junior high school student, was still selected as the main heroine, Miyuki Wakamatsu, and she performed her innocent performance with her unmistakable voice. However, it seems that boos were being poured from enthusiastic fans of the original work, and Mr Oginome later left a comment that he would like to apologize to the fans.

In an era without the internet, it takes a considerable amount of effort for fans to complain about the acting of voice actors, such as posting in the reader section of anime magazines and newspapers. It may be ironic to show that “Miyuki” is now so popular that it makes you want to complain about your dissatisfaction.

Many famous songs that colour “Miyuki.”

When you think back on “Miyuki”, it is almost always the opening and ending coloured with beautiful tunes that come back to your mind.

In particular, the first ending theme, “A lot of memories,” was composed by Akina Nakamori’s “DESIRE -Passion-” and the opening theme of “Ultraman Mebius” by Kisaburo Suzuki, who produced a massive number of masterpieces, and the lyrics were written by Yamaguchi. It was provided by Yoko Aki, who worked on many of Momoe’s hit works and was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2006, and the members who could see the enthusiasm of the production team for this work were selected.

And the vocal is played by the music duo “H2O” by Mr Kenji Nakazawa and Mr Masaki Akashio. The transparent singing voice that is bright and refreshing but woven with sadness received high praise. Even in the song program at that time, “memories are”, I often saw scenes where “Ippai” appeared.

It is now commonplace for anime songs to be treated on TV programs, but before the 1980s were treated as nursery rhymes and were regarded as songs in a lower position. Along with Anri’s “CAT’S EYE”, “A lot of memories” is a song with great significance as an early song that raised the status of anime songs.

In addition, the opening theme, “10% Rain Forecast (Ten Percent Ameyoho)”, has been changed from “every day” to “Miyuki” in the original lyrics. It is also noteworthy that a sporadic attempt to “change the lyrics” is being made.

The ending theme “Good-bye Season”, used from episode 23 to the final episode, also left a powerful impression as a masterpiece that suggests that precious time is about to end while sending youthful days. I am.

The TV anime “Miyuki” played an essential role in modern anime, such as a love-oriented style and heavy use of pop music. However, when the final episode of the anime was broadcast, the original was still in the process of being serialized. The ending was never drawn. There was talk of producing the final version with a new animation for the theatre, but unfortunately, it has not been realized. This is the most disappointing part of this work. Perhaps many children learned the original’s ending after a while and had various emotions.

When I borrowed the original from her sister and read the final episode after the end of the animation, I remember how stunned I was in elementary school at that time. I can’t help but pray that the unselected people who couldn’t stop their feelings, even though they knew that the two Wakamatsus were in love, became happy. I wanted to see this ending in an anime.
