The decision to produce a sequel to the TV anime Ace of Diamond Act II has been announced.
“Ace of Diamond,” which celebrated its 10th anniversary as an anime series last fall, is based on the hugely popular comic by Yuji Terajima and has been airing since 2013. The story follows the protagonist, Eijun Sawamura (voiced by Ryota Osaka), who enrolls in Seidou High School, a prestigious high school baseball team, and aims to reach the top of the national baseball league with fellow team members Kazuya Miyuki (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), Satoru Furuya (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki), and Haruichi Kominato (voiced by Natsuki Hanae).
After being broadcast as the FIRST SEASON and SECOND SEASON, a new series called “Act II,” like the original, was broadcast from 2019 to 2020.
Two years ago, the original comic “Ace of Diamond Act II” ended its 16-year run in Weekly Shonen Magazine. Fans have long been eagerly awaiting the production of an anime sequel to this film, which has reached its final stage, but the silence has finally been broken. A congratulatory illustration from Yuji Terashima for the decision to produce a sequel has also arrived.
Although the decision to produce a sequel has been announced, other information remains a mystery. Looking back on the season, I look forward to the following report.
