by The sixth season of the TV anime ” Kingdom ” will begin airing on NHK General TV from 12:10 am on Saturday, October 4th. The main visual, depicting Shin, Wang Ben, Meng Tian, and Wang Jian heading into a fierce battle over Gyo, has also been released. Five new characters from the Qin army and their cast members have also been announced.
“Kingdom” is set in China during the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period, and follows the exploits of Shin, a young boy who aspires to become the greatest general in the world, and Ei Sei, a young king who later becomes the first emperor of the world. The original manga is by Yasuhisa Hara and is currently being serialized in “Weekly Young Jump” (Shueisha).
The total number of copies of the comics has exceeded 110 million, and the fourth live-action film, “Kingdom: The Return of the Great General,” was released in 2024, earning 8 billion yen at the box office. The TV anime has aired from season 1 to season 5 so far.
The main visual released shows Shin, Meng Tian, Wang Ben, and Wang Jian, the commander-in-chief of the Gyo invasion. Shin holds the spear entrusted to him by Wang Qi, and the four are depicted fired up for the upcoming battle against Zhao.
