The key visuals feature Kyo (CV: Shintaro Asanuma), Ryoko (CV: Kana Hanazawa), Shizuno (CV: Ayako Kawasumi), and Hal Welt (CV: Kengo Kawanishi).
The trailer also features new characters Giten (CV: Takuma Terashima), Sefuto (CV: Yuka Terasaki), Milch (CV: Tomoyo Kurosawa), Basfota (CV: Yui Ishikawa), Cid (CV: Natsuki Hanae), and Toya (CV: Tomokazu Sugita).
Shintaro Asanuma, the voice behind Kyo Sogol, shared his thoughts on the upcoming film, ‘This work has made me appreciate summer, a season I used to dislike, a little more. When I was part of a project that involved time loops or leaps or when I portrayed a character with a bird theme, I sensed something more than mere coincidence. I hope this movie resonates with you similarly. Please take your time to enjoy it.’
Kana Hanazawa, who plays Ryoko Kaminagi, said, “I am blessed to have been blessed with a work that has been loved for so long, with spin-off novels, rebroadcasts until recently, and finally a new work being made. I want to tell my 17-year-old self! I hope that “Zegapain STA” will bring about an increase in new Celebrants, and the content will allow those who already know it to enjoy “Zegapain” more deeply, so please look forward to it!”
Ayako Kawasumi, who plays Misaki Shizuno, said, “I’ve loved the music of Zegapain since it was on TV, but I realized that those songs make it Zegapain. I think that fans who have been supporting us since the TV broadcast will feel a new side of the show but also feel nostalgic that Zegapain has returned.” It has also been decided that the Blu-ray of this film will be available for pre-sale at the screening theaters from August 16th.
In addition, Zegapain ADP, which depicts the prequel to the TV series, will be screened for one week only from July 12th at three theaters: Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo, Midland Square Cinema in Nagoya, and Namba Parks Cinema in Osaka. The theatrical anime Zegapain STA will be released in theaters on August 16th.
