The summer 2025 anime season saw many highly acclaimed titles, with many praising the series, including “A great selection of top-notch anime” and “So many masterpieces, it’s hard to decide which one to watch.” So, which summer anime were actually described as “great all the way to the end”?

Magmix conducted a reader survey from September 29th to October 6th, 2025, asking, “Which summer 2025 anime was great all the way to the end?” Let’s take a look at the top three titles, determined by a total of 477 votes. 3rd Place: “Ruri no Houseki” (31 votes) Coming in third Place was “Ruri no Houseki.”
This work tells the story of a high school girl named Tanigawa Ruri, who loves sparkly things, and a graduate student named Arato Nagi, who meet and go mineral collecting together. While some initially dismissed the series as “erotic” due to the voluptuous female figures depicted in key visuals, the beauty of gemstones and nature, and the story’s ability to inspire a desire to collect minerals, have gradually garnered popularity.
The visuals are beautiful, and the stone trivia is excellent; however, the story also effectively portrays the protagonists’ growth, which is a great addition. The best anime I’ve ever seen. The beautiful illustrations, character development, and knowledge are incredible. Perfect. The process of learning geology through gemstones has a “Buratamori”-like feel that’s appealing. The best find of the summer!
1st Place: “Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity” and “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2” (44 votes). “Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity” and “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2” tied for first Place. “Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity” is a youthful love story that begins with the encounter between Tsumugi Rintaro, a student at the low-class boys’ school Chidori, where idiots gather, and Waguri Kaoruko, a student at the prestigious girls’ school Kikyo.
The students at Kikyo dislike the students at Chidori, and many viewers warmly watched the love story between these two, who are close yet distant. “My Dress-Up Darling Season 2” centers on Kitagawa Marin and Gojo Niina, and tells the story of how they deepen their relationships with various people through cosplay. Many viewers were overwhelmed by the positive appeal of cosplay and shared their excitement throughout Marin’s love story. “Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity.” I discovered this work through the anime and wanted to read the manga.
The characters’ kind personalities were terrific, and the work was gentle. The story and artwork are both fantastic, making this a delightful romantic comedy. Rintaro and Kaoruko’s purity is incredible. I wanted to root for their love in “Kise Koi.” It made me think, “Youth is great!” The anime quality was as excellent as ever. Maru’s purity is irresistibly cute. It was worth the three-year wait.
The rest of the top three works are also “great works.” And while they didn’t make it into the top three, “Takopi no Original Sin” and the second season of “Dandadan” tied for fourth Place. Both works met fan expectations with thrilling plot twists and shocking developments. The upcoming fall 2025 anime also saw multiple titles eliciting comments like “I’m so excited” and “I’ll definitely watch until the end.” Anticipation is building for the fall anime, with fans wondering what developments will unfold.
