I want to catch up on the latest episodes during the summer vacation!
The currently airing summer 2025 anime season boasts approximately 80 titles, more than usual. With so many anime titles on the air, which ones have convinced many viewers to “continue watching” after a few episodes?
Magmix conducted a reader survey from July 25 to August 4, 2025, asking, “Which is your top recommendation for the summer 2025 anime that you decided to continue watching?” Based on a total of 495 votes, let’s take a look at the top three titles.
3rd Place: “Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity.” Coming in third Place is “Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity.” This series depicts the innocent romance between Tsumugi Rintaro, a student at a boys’ school known as “Baka-taka,” and Waguri Kaoruko, a female student at a prestigious school for girls. Many viewers have been captivated by the straightforward and pure romance between these two characters and the classic romantic comedy plot. [Respondents’ Opinions] The scenes depicting Kaoruko-chan and Rintaro-kun’s romance are thrilling and make you want to root for them. It’s so heart-pounding, I love it. I was so moved by the first episode that I look forward to the episodes every week.
2nd Place: “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2” Chosen as the second place winner is “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2.” This series tells the story of a girl named Kitagawa Marin and Gojo Niina, who make Hina dolls, as they grow closer through cosplay. Since the announcement of the second season came more than two years after the announcement of the first season, the broadcast date was announced, and many fans had been eagerly awaiting it. After watching just a few episodes, many were convinced, “This season is a good one!” [Respondents’ Comments] – The illustrations were beautiful and interesting. – I’ve been waiting for this for ages, so I’m happy. – The characters are all nice, so it’s stress-free to watch.
No. 1: “Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus.” Taking the top spot was “Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus.” This series has been adapted into three theatrical versions, and this is the second season of the TV anime.
The setting shifts from high school to college, and the story follows protagonist Sakuta Azusagawa, who once again finds himself embroiled in mysterious events caused by “puberty syndrome.” In addition to the beautiful artwork, the excellent story, the cute heroine, and the mystery that makes you want to know what happens next have captured the hearts of many fans. [Respondents’ Comments] – The typical “Aobuta” interactions are comforting. There are many mysteries, such as Kirishima Touko’s true identity, and I’m curious to know what happens next. I’ve always loved “Aobuta,” and after watching a few episodes, I still found it fascinating. It would be a shame to stop here, so I decided to watch it! Anime depicting campus life is rare.
What will you watch over the holidays? In a survey conducted by Magmix before the anime’s broadcast titled “2025 Summer Anime That Are Highly Anticipated Even Before Broadcast,” the top results were: 1st Place: “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2” (47 votes), 2nd Place: “Dandadan Season 2,” and 3rd Place: “Kaiju No. 8 Season 2” and “Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus.”
“Kaoru Hana wa Brin to Saku,” which didn’t make it into the top three before broadcast, is sure to be a hot topic for future broadcasts. On those hot days when you don’t feel like going outside, why not spend the time watching anime in a cool room?
