It has been decided that the new anime series “Transformers Earth Spark,” which was broadcast in the United States in the fall of 2022, will be posted on six TV Tokyo network stations from 9:15 a.m. on October 1st.
This will be the first time in eight years that a new animated “Transformers” series will be broadcast on terrestrial TV. In addition, the Japanese version cast of Tetsusho Genda, Shigeru Chiba, and Ryohei Kimura was also revealed.
This work is a human story set 15 years after the end of the war between Autobots and Decepticons and depicts the bond between humans and Transformers. Brother and sister Robbie and Moe, members of the Malto family, move to a small town in Pennsylvania, USA, and accidentally enter a cave, where they give birth to an earth-born transformer called Terran. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime senses that a new enemy is approaching the town and visits Dot, the mother of Robbie and Mo, who once fought together in the war, and asks for her cooperation.
This work is also attracting attention for its worldview connected to the original TV anime “Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers”. Optimus will be voiced by Tetsusho Genda, who has been voicing the same character for many years, and his nemesis Megatron will be reprised by Shigeru Chiba, who played the same role in the anime “Beast Wars Transformers” (1997-1998). Also included are voice actors who have participated in past anime and live-action series, including Ryohei Kimura as Bumblebee, Nobuo Tobita as Mandroid, and Shunsuke Takeuchi as Slash.
Genda, who plays Optimus, said, “It’s already been 40 years since I first met Optimus…I’m glad that not only myself but many people have known him. He overcame difficult situations such as worries and decisions as a leader.”, I want to firmly act the figure that believes in himself and pushes forward to save the earth.” Speaking to Megatron again, Chiba said, ”It’s been long since I’ve seen Transformers! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Megatron!! Well, I’m sure it will be fun~ Arima Onsen! ( ^ω ^) Well, this time, will I be a scary Megatron or a mischievous Megatron…heheheheheh…whatever it is, I’m begging for it!!” It’s different from back then. I’m commenting casually.
The sound director is Miwa Iwanami, the creator of “Beast Wars” and “Voice Actor Lawless Zone.” The theme song was performed by Psychic Lover, who is also known for the anime “Super Robot Life Form Transformers Micron Legend.” In addition, the first toy series (11 types in total) will be released in conjunction with the broadcast on October 28th.
