“Yamato Forever REBEL 3199” is the latest installment in the “Space Battleship Yamato 2199” series, based on the third theatrical film, “Yamato Forever,” released in 1980, and reinterpreted into seven chapters (26 episodes). Does the title “3199” refer to a thousand years in the future? What hidden connection exists between the antagonist Desarium and Earth?
