Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty finds its live-action stars Christopher Lloyd, and Jaeden Martell in a new promo released days before the season finale.

Adult Swim has found its live-action Rick Sanchez in Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd.

The official Adult Swim Twitter account released a teaser just days before the two-part Season 5 finale of Rick and Morty, teasing live-action versions of the titular characters, with Lloyd as Rick Sanchez and Jaeden Martell (It, It: Chapter II) as Morty. Which episode the two will appear in has not been revealed, but the tweet has been captioned, “C-132,” a reference to one of the many multiverses in the Rick and Morty universe. C-132, in particular, is the universe in which the versions of Rick and Morty from the first two volumes of the comic series are said to be from.

The following two episodes of Rick and Morty Season 5 air on Sept. 5 on Adult Swim, with Episode 9, “Rickmurai Jack,” and Episode 10, “Forgetting Sarick Mortshall.” The promo sees the live-action duo, whose animated versions are voiced by series co-creator Justin Roiland, stepping through one of Rick’s iconic green portals into a live-action version of the scientist’s garage laboratory. Lloyd’s Rick turns to Morty, saying, “Morty, we’re home.”

This is not the first time Lloyd has played a mad scientist, as he is best known for his role as Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, starting with 1985’s Back to the Future, Back to the Future Part II in 1989 and Back to the Future Part III in 1990. However, in those movies, Lloyd had Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly and a time-traveling DeLorean; now, he’ll have a portal gun and a neurotic grandson.

This is also not the first time Lloyd has worked with Roiland on a Rick and Morty project. Before its five-seasons-and-counting run on Adult Swim, Rick and Morty started as an animated short entitled The Animated Adventures of Doc and Marthi, a parody of the Back to the Future films Lloyd reprise his iconic role as Doc Brown. Because of the series’ beginnings as a Back to the Future parody, it only makes sense that Lloyd returns in a live-action episode as the eponymous Rick Sanchez.

Season 5 of Rick and Morty was initially supposed to air ten episodes over ten weeks. However, the final two episodes were delayed and are now being aired as a two-part conclusion. Whether the live-action bit will be an entire episode or just an extended scene in a longer storyline.

The final two episodes of Rick and Morty Season 5 air on Sept. 5 on Adult Swim.
