At the ‘2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree’, which was crippled, girl group Ive decided to additionally appear in the K-pop Super Live Concert, which was criticized for turning around. It is known that the appearance was canceled due to scheduling problems in the first place, but attention is focused on the background of the decision to appear in one day.

The Jamboree Organizing Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 10th, “It has been confirmed that Ive, the top idol group, will appear in the ‘K-Pop Super Live’ concert held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the evening of the 11th.” Ive was scheduled to appear in a K-pop performance at the Saemangeum campsite on the 6th, but the performance was canceled due to a change of venue. On the 9th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, including the group New Jeans, announced the cast, but Ive was absent.

On this day, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Park Bo-kyun said, “Ive welcomes the decision to voluntarily perform at the Sangam-dong’ K-Pop Super Live’ concert by adjusting other schedules to keep the promise of appearing at the performance on the 6th. With Ive, the top idol group, included in the lineup, we expect the Saemangeum Scout Jamboree to end with overwhelming K-pop appeal.” It was emphasized that it was a voluntary appearance, not a coffin-mobilized appearance, but the background of the appearance while adjusting other schedules is still being determined.

Ive is a 6-member girl group that debuted in December 2021, and the title song, ‘I AM’ of the first full-length album, I’ve IVE, succeeded in entering the global chart and was included in the Billboard Global 200 for 15 consecutive weeks. As a top-tier idol group gaining popularity at home and abroad, it is so popular that it is nicknamed ‘Super President.’

Coincidentally, on this day, the Financial Supervisory Service seized and searched the office of founder Kim Bum-soo of Kakao Entertainment, the parent company of Kakao Entertainment, the largest shareholder of Ive’s agency Starship Entertainment.
