Korea Importers Association, World K-Pop Center, and Global Networking Reinforcement Business Agreement

The Korea Importers’ Association (KOIMA, Chairman Kim Byung-Kwan) announced on the 28th that it had signed an MOU with the World K-Pop Center to strengthen global networking at its headquarters in Bangbae-dong, Seoul.

Kim Byung-Kwan, president of the Korea Importers Association, said, “The Korea Importers Association has been traveling the world for 52 years and building a global network with foreign governments, related institutions, and economic groups. We will actively prepare and support the World K-Pop Center’s K-Pop performances at events such as overseas dispatch, Korea Import Expo, Import Day, etc.

Park Seong-jin, CEO of the World K-Pop Center, said, “I am grateful that the Korea Importers Association, which represents Korea’s imports, took an interest in K-pop and provided an opportunity to promote K-pop abroad.” We look forward to active cooperation between the two organizations in raising the status of the Republic of Korea by promoting and disseminating K-POP.”

The Korea Importers Association was established in 1970 with the approval of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and is the only import-specialized economic organization in Korea. World K-Pop Center is a K-Pop specialized educational institution established to nurture and distribute K-Pop experts.
