Preview of ‘Boys Planet’ broadcast today (30th). Participants first revealed

The global fan-made K-pop idol project Mnet’s ‘BOYS PLANET’ has started warming up ahead of its first broadcast at 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 2 next year.

Today (30th) at 7:30 PM, the preview episode ‘Boys Planet: A Star Is Born, where you can meet ‘Boys Planet’ in advance, will be broadcast on Mnet. Including Baek Gu-young and Choi Young-Joon, dance masters of ‘Boys Planet,’ group Wanna One’s Yoon Ji-seong and Kim Jae-hwan, group IZ*ONE’s Kwon Eun-bi and Choi Ye-Na, group Kepler’s Choi Yu-jin, Shaoting, Mashiro, Kim Chae-Hyeon, Hikaru, and Seo Young-Eun from the Mnet audition program will appear.

Through ‘Boys Planet: A Star Is Born,’ they watch the pre-audition videos of contestants with various charms and explore boys’ sides. It is expected to raise expectations for the first broadcast by mentioning the differences and spoilers unique to ‘Boys Planet.’

Previously, the participants of ‘Boyz Planet’ performed the signal song ‘HERE I AM’ on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on the 29th. After the broadcast ended, K-Pop fans around the world responded enthusiastically to the performance of the participants, who were finally selected from 84 countries and regions around the world.

The number of views of the ‘HERE I AM’ stage video uploaded to the Mnet K-POP YouTube account reached 1 million views within 13 hours of its release, and related keywords such as ‘#Boys Planet’ and ‘#BoysPlanet’ were trending on Twitter. It was ranked at the top of the worldwide real-time trend.

Then, today (30th) at 9:00 PM, the full-fledged evaluation begins as the individual direct cam of the signal song “HERE I AM” is uploaded to the Mnet K-POP YouTube account. The video’s number of views is a benefit when the participants perform the ‘Boys Planet’ mission later.

The counting of votes is verified by Samil PwC, an external professional organization, to ensure transparency and fairness. The counting period is from 9:00 pm on December 30 (Fri) to 10:00 am on January 7, 2023 (Sat). As the keyword maximizes viewer participation, a top-notch boy group is expected to be born with viewers’ choice.

‘Boyz Planet’ also released the profiles of all participants on the K-pop culture platform ‘Mnet Plus’ on the 29th. Mnet Plus is where the official voting and support promotion of ‘Boyz Planet’ takes place. While attention is focused on the first idol-making program, ‘Boys Planet,’ to be aired in Korea in 2023, ‘Boys Planet’ will be broadcast for the first time on February 2 next year.
