The all-star trading card game “UNION ARENA,” which allows characters from multiple works to fight under the same rules, will start rolling out on March 24, 2023 (Friday).
The Bandai Card Division announced this at the “Bandai TCG 2022 Policy Presentation” held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
“UNION ARENA” is a “common rules type trading card game (TCG)” in which many famous works participate under one common rule. Once you learn the rules, you can play with all the work you participate in.
More than nine works have been decided to participate in the game from the release in March to the summer, and new jobs will participate almost every month.
Works in various genres, such as animation and games, are planned, and about 20 jobs are scheduled for the year.
In the project, ban PV released “Jujutsu Kaisen,” “HUNTER x HUNTER,” “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion,” “Kimetsu no Yaiba,” “Idolmaster Shiny Colors,” “TALES of ARISE,” “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” Works such as “Bleach Thousand Year Blood War” and “My Hero Academia” is listed.
“UNION ARENA” is not the first TCG where multiple works fight under the same rules. For example, Bushiroad’s “Weiss Schwarz” (since 2008) and Movic & Ensky’s “Precious Memories” (since 2010) each have a lineup of over 100 works.
The entry of Bandai, which has connections with the creators of many popular contents and is itself a content holder, may cause a big wave in multi-work TCG.
The first “UNION ARENA” will be released on March 24, 2023 (Friday). The titles of the first series are “Jujutsu Kaisen,” “HUNTER×HUNTER,” and “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.”
