The 19th episode of the TV anime “Sentai Daishikkaku 2nd season” (every Sunday night 11:30-midnight, TBS and others / Disney Plus Star unlimited streaming exclusive) entitled “We are the KHK ~We are the Monster Protection Association~” was broadcast, and social media was flooded with viewers expressing their high expectations for the new foreshadowing that has begun to spread. (Spoilers below)

Mysterious monster executives reveal the truth that the Dai Sentai has concealed. The series is an animated adaptation of the unpredictable and unique hero battle comic “The Quintessential Quintuplets” by Negi Haruba. It depicts the confrontation between Combatant D (CV: Kobayashi Yusuke), a low-ranking monster fighter who repeatedly invades the ground every weekend and is defeated, and the Dragon Keeper of the Ryujin Sentai, who is far from the image of a hero. To put an end to his life of constant defeats, Combatant D, who has joined the Dai Sentai by disguising himself as Sakurama Hibiki (CV: Kajita Daiji), declares his intention to “defeat the Dai Sentai” and successfully passes the final test, and begins full-scale infiltration into the Dai Sentai. In episode 19, a mysterious monster executive, Fuwaripon (CV: Yusa Koji), suddenly appears and exposes the truth that the Dai Sentai has concealed on a video distribution site.

As the public’s trust in the Dragon Keepers falls to the ground, the Dai Sentai tries to restore their trust by appointing a new Blue Keeper. Meanwhile, D’s true identity is discovered by Green Keeper (CV: Toriumi Kosuke), and he tries to take advantage of an opportunity to defeat them, but it doesn’t go as planned. Meanwhile, D is urgently tasked with a joint mission with the Red Squadron. D and the rest of the Green Squad rush to the scene to help the Red Squad, who are tasked with exterminating the monsters that have appeared at the Tennogawa Central Zoo.

They are shocked by the brutal scene where even the members of the Green Squad have lost their lives. However, Red Keeper (CV: Nakamura Yuichi) exterminates all the monsters and says with a calm expression, “You guys focus on searching for the executives who are in hiding.” D, who was about to help clean up the scene, reunites with his fellow Red Squad member, Shion Kai (CV: Ono Yuki). Shion tells D that “Red Keeper suspects either you or Usukubo (CV: Mikami Shiori) of being a traitor,” and he becomes uneasy.

Stabs Akahane Sousei with the Dragon Gadget. Immediately afterward, D discovers Akahane Sousei taking off his Red Keeper suit behind a building. He approaches Akahane from behind while he is talking on his smartphone and stabs him with the Dragon Gadget, successfully killing him. D is bewildered by the abrupt ending but is overjoyed and leaves the scene.

However, he is confused when Red Keeper appears at the “Sunday Battle” held later, as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, Usukubo, who was cleaning up pieces of monster meat at the zoo, is shocked to find the name tag of zookeeper Sakura Hibari on the monster’s corpse. He disappears and quits the Great Sentai.

After that, he joined the Monster Protection Association, whose representative director is his father, Usukubo Yakushi (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi). In addition, Suzukiri Yumeko (CV: Yano Yumika) visits the garrison and, accompanied by Yukino Angelica (CV: Kito Akari), who has been transferred to the Yellow Squad, enters a room that only Yellow Squad high-ranking members can join.

There, samples of monsters captured alive are being kept. Although Yellow Keeper (voiced by Ono Kensho) tells Yumeko that it is a “valuable sample,” she immediately kills the monster. From the unfazed reaction of Yamabuki Akane (voiced by Suzumoto Akiho), Yumeko points out that the Great Sentai created the beast.

Viewers are excited by the various hints in the story as it enters a new chapter, including Yumeko’s true intentions, the Yellow Squad’s real job, the fact that Red Keeper, who was supposed to be dead, is still alive, the Monster Protection Association’s goals, and the reason why D has been left alone even though his true identity is known. On social media, many people have commented, “This anime is even more unexpected than I expected,” “What’s going to happen next?” “There’s already too much information.

Everyone has their motives, so it’s hard to tell,” “There are just too many things I don’t understand,” “Everyone is moving forward with their motives, so the story has moved around a lot. Still, I’m starting to worry that I won’t be able to understand it fully: “It feels like the story is approaching its climax,” and “It’s getting interesting.” Text by Harada Ken
